Facilitator Training Program Year Two Mentoring & Supervision
Students of the year-long Facilitator Training Program may continue with ongoing training, support, internship, and supervision, as well as those who are currently leading meditation groups or to those who want to teach mindfulness, compassion and mindful nature connection practices to the communities with whom you work. If you are a therapist, health-care professional, teacher, spiritual director, social or environmental activist, working with minority or marginalized communities, or you are a caretaker of others in any way, and you are currently leading mindfulness meditation, you will find this program highly supportive and valuable.
The Training Program includes:
Group Meetings and Practice Sessions: Group training sessions will be held with one or more of the teachers as well as guest teachers to explore and practice creating dharma talks, share readings or ideas with each other. Also including a "Book Club" inspiring us to expand our knowledge which will support our skills giving dharma talks. Occassional guest teachers will provide a greater variety of informaion and skills.

Mentorship: A monthly phone call or meeting with a teacher to check in about the program, report about your experiences and challenges in offering spiritual care, and to explore your Dharma practice in relation to the work you are doing.
On-Line Conference Call will be provided with a weekly call-in group with a teacher on Thursdays from 12:00- 1:00 (upon availability).
Internship: You will engage in a practicum where you initiate a mindfulness class with a minimum of 1 hour per week, in the venue of your choosing to share and demonstrate your growing skill set. Students should begin researching volunteer options.
The cost for the Facilitator Training is $600. - $300. The sliding scale fee structure allows you to choose a level of support that works for your financial situation. Sliding-scale prices for this program allow MHP to keep programs affordable for those with limited financial means. Please pay the highest amount possible.
It is suggested you attend a weekly Dharma Sitting a One Dharma Sangha, or a sangha of your choice, once a week for the duration. We recommend that you attend an optional Mindfulness Meditation Retreat that is held in silence providing the experience of extended silence so you have the direct experience of this practice.
