The way to overcome negative thoughts and destructive emotions is to develop opposing, positive emotions that are stronger and more powerful. - HH Dali Lama
HEARTWORK: Practitioner Training - Module II: Cultivating Emotional Balance
One of the Dalai Lama’s central teachings is that negative or destructive emotions are a cause of personal suffering that lead to harmful behaviors towards others and our world. In this module, you will learn a variety of practices that allow you to transform such emotions with wisdom and compassion, and to bring the fruits of these practices into your relationships.
Radhule and Michael will teach how we can foster emotional balance through mindful awareness and the practice of compassion for ourselves and others. We will learn to develop new patterns of emotional stability and inner happiness by addressing some of the long-standing, recurrent, painful patterns in our lives. Together we will discover how to respond to the challenges we face creatively and kindly rather than by withdrawing or blaming.
