Cultivating compassion is ultimately necessary on the path of opening your heart to yourself and others.
Radhule Weimninger, "Heartwork: The Path of Self-Compassion 9 Practices for Opening the Heart"
HEARTWORK: Practitioner Training - Module III: Engaged Compassion
Our lives become especially meaningful when we share our good intentions and newly found inner balance with others. This may be in our own personal lives, or as part of our occupation or activism on behalf of the greater good. In this module, you will learn practices that empower and enable you to engage with others and our world, and self-care strategies that will nourish and sustain you as you bring what have learned back into your life.
In this module we will learn how to bring the practices we learned forward to ourselves, to others around us, and to our community. To do this, we will find our personal way to stay rooted in deep security and to find our way back when we feel disconnected.
We learn to build a secure platform for our engagement, a refuge, by cultivating an experience of interdependence and of resting in the field aspect of awareness through Mindful Nature Connection and other meditative practices. This platform for our relationship with the world will also be strengthened by nurturing a loving and compassionate relationship with ourselves and a feeling of gratitude for life itself.
